About Penny

Penny Allman-Payne is a secondary teacher and lawyer.

Penny has taught in schools in Brisbane, Bamaga (Cape York), Bundaberg, Gin Gin, Gladstone and Manchester in the UK. As a solicitor she has worked for national law firms, specialising in public & professional liability and insurance & risk.

Penny now lives in Cleveland, where she currently works as a secondary school teacher. She is married to Darin, her husband of 24 years, and has two children who are studying at university.

Penny is Deputy Convenor of the Australian Greens and is a general member of the Queensland Greens Management Committee. She is also a National Delegate and was the Greens candidate for Capalaba at the 2012 Qld state election.

Penny is a member of the Queensland Teachers Union and the Queensland College of Teachers.
